Tomorrow is the International Day of Climate Action

Posted by sbopp at October 23, 2009 12:00 PM |

Tomorrow promises to be the largest day of political action in the history of the planet. The International Day of Climate Action is now up to 4,641 events planned in 177 countries.

It’s been put together by 350.org, a global network of organizations from around the world who have come together to encourage world leaders to reach an international agreement and get back to 350 ppm of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere – the safe upper limit – as quickly as possible.

It’s not too late to be a part of this historic day. Sign up to participate in an action near you, create an action of your own if there isn’t one nearby, donate to the cause or buy the T-shirt at 350.org.

Let world leaders know you want them to create an ambitious, fair and binding global climate deal.

About Energy Rebellion

There is good reason for the titans of the American energy industry to be concerned. In the political war to clear the air of climate changing emissions and pursue clean energy development, environmental and public interest organizations are gaining reforms, new policy, and extraordinary momentum in and outside Washington.
