National Environmental Scorecard - 112th Congress

The League of Conservation Voters released their 2011 National Environmental Scorecard for the first session of the 112th Congress. Within the report each member of Congress is given a score based on their voting record with or against the environment.

Dear Representative: LCV urges you to vote NO on this trio of harmful bills (H.R. 3010, H.R. 527, and H.R. 10) that jeopardize public protections, including for the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat. These bills do not improve the regulatory process and further empower special interests over the public interest. A broad coalition of consumer, small business, labor, environmental, faith, community, and public interest groups oppose these bills.

Oppose H.R. 1633 - Addresses Non-Existent Problem, Threatens Public Health, League of Conservation Voters Letter 12.07.11

LCV urges you to vote NO on H.R. 1633 - the so-called "Farm Dust Regulation Prevention Act." This legislation while purporting to address the non-existent problem of farm dust regulation threatens public health by preventing review of health-based standards for harmful soot pollution. Soot, also referred to as coarse particulate matter poses proven health risks, including asthma attacks, strokes, and even death.
