US NGOs Discuss Background on Warsaw UN Climate Negotiations
In one week, delegates from the United States and more than 190 other nations will gather in Warsaw, Poland for a valuable opportunity to make progress towards an international agreement that brings countries together to limit dangerous climate change. The 19th Conference of the Parties (COP 19) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), spanning from November 11-22, is the next milestone on the road to an international climate agreement slated to be finalized in 2015. The US Climate Action Network hosted a teleconference with experts from US civil society to discuss the latest state-of-play, background information, and expectations for the upcoming UN climate negotiations.
