House Has the Votes for Cap-and-Trade, But Timetable Uncertain Says Pelosi
House Speak Nancy Pelosi said yesterday that she has enough votes to pass cap-and-trade legislation, but would not guarantee that Obama would be able to sign something into law before Copenhagen. "I don't know what the timetable will be," said Pelosi. "A lot of that will relate to how quickly we get through the recovery, whatever else we're doing, and when the bill will be ready.
