Obama Picks Three More Climate Advocates
President-elect Barack Obama has added three more to a "dream team" of climate advocates and science experts to join his administration. Obama chose Jane Lubchenco, a prominent marine biologist at Oregon State University, to head the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Rep. Hilda Solis (D-Calif.), a member of the House Select Committee on Global Warming, was selected as secretary of Labor. John Holdren, a Harvard University physicist and marine biologist, will direct the president's Council of Advisers on Science and Technology, managing a team of about 40 Ph.D.-level experts.
