Sen. Boxer to Release "Principles" for Cap-and-Trade Bill Tuesday

Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) will release her "principles" for a cap-and-trade bill at a press conference this Tuesday. The Chairwoman had originally planned to introduce her ideas this week. Late last year Boxer said she plans to write a "streamlined" climate bill that sets greenhouse gas emission limits but leaves many of the biggest decisions to the EPA. Senate Foreign Relations Chairman John Kerry (D-MA) said last Wednesday that he was organizing a "working group" with Boxer, Sen. John Bingaman (D-NM) and others to insure a climate bill avoids the problems climate legislation had last year in the Senate. Read more at E&E (sub. req.)
