Telepresser: U.S. NGO Experts Preview Historic Copenhagen Climate Summit
December 2, 2009 -- Last week President Obama unveiled a 2020 greenhouse gas reductions target for the United States and declared he would attend the climate negotiations in Copenhagen next week.
On Wednesday, Dec. 2, reporters are invited to attend a curtainraiser tele-press conference to explore the significance of these key developments and discuss the state of international climate negotiations heading into the COP 15 Copenhagen summit, Dec. 7-18. Speakers will also elaborate on what influence the U.S. domestic legislation process will have on the talks, and outline the scientific urgency of solving the climate crisis.
