Official Side Event, Tianjin UN Climate Change Conference


China and the United States:
Key Perspectives on Emissions Monitoring, Reporting and Verification

WHEN: Saturday, October 9th, 1300-1430
WHERE: Meijiang Official Venue, Guiyang

This session will explore perspectives from both nations about commitments and requirements necessary to move closer toward a global deal. Speakers will provide an overview of key issues for monitoring and verifying financial support as well as establishing environmental social accountability standards. Areas of progress and contention in Tianjin will be discussed with a focus on dialogue and commitments needed move closer toward agreement in Cancun later this year.

This event will feature presentations by:
