ADVISORY: U.S. Labor, Environmental, Business Leaders to Discuss Climate Action and Support for Global Agreement Despite Current Administration

BONN – Leaders from the BlueGreen Alliance will be joined by The Business Council for Sustainable Energy at a press briefing during the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change’s 23rd Conference of Parties (COP23) to discuss how the labor and environmental movements have joined with businesses to push for cities, states, and regions to take action on climate in the face of the Trump administration’s commitment to withdraw from the Paris agreement.

The speakers will also highlight opportunities for the U.S. to reduce carbon pollution and create quality jobs. Speakers will reiterate support for an international agreement that supports workers and addresses the ongoing climate crisis.

The event will take place on Friday, November 10 at 10:30 a.m. at Press Conference Room 2, Theatre | Zone BULA 4.

You can find the BlueGreen Alliance’s statement of principles on COP23 at https://www.bluegreenalliance.org/cop23.
