U.S. Climate Action Network
is the largest national civil society coalition of 175+ climate and environmental organizations.
Our theory of change: Leadership through collective action.

By fostering collaboration, coordination, and information sharing, we build a powerful force that surpasses the sum of its individual parts.
Mission
To urgently drive bold and equitable climate action by fostering collaboration among a diverse network of organizations and providing resources to accelerate collective impact from the local level to the global scale.

Vision
USCAN envisions a resilient and sustainable future where all people and ecosystems thrive. In this future, communities most impacted by the climate crisis–across the U.S. and globally–will achieve the justice and self-determination they deserve, building a healthy world for all.
Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
USCAN is committed to fighting climate change in a just and equitable way.

Our Work

Championing a just transition
We are advancing a transition from the current exploitative, fossil-fueled economy to a regenerative, renewable-powered society.

Ahead of the 2028 elections, our members are co-creating a domestic climate policy platform rooted in communities' lived experiences, policy experts, and climate advocates.

Catalyzing collective action
Our Catalyzing Grants program directs funding to frontline and historically underfunded groups through collaborative initiatives. Our members team up to create community projects and build long-term grassroots power.
Since 2017, USCAN has successfully allocated $3 million in catalyzing grants to more than 100 members.

Leading strategically
We convene strategy meetings and trainings for our members to share intel and work across differences.
On the international stage, USCAN — alongside our global climate justice allies — was key in securing the historic “loss and damage” agreement at COP27.
