Most meetings switched to English

A few months ago I found myself in a slightly awkward situation at work. Our company started cooperating with some partners from abroad and suddenly most meetings switched to English. I could understand basic things, but when it was my turn to speak I felt stuck and nervous, like I knew the words somewhere in my head but couldn’t build sentences fast enough.

What I noticed with Promova is that it breaks learning into smaller pieces that feel realistic. Instead of giant grammar explanations, you go through practical expressions, dialogues, and listening exercises that actually resemble situations from daily life. The platform also lets you repeat lessons and review words in different contexts, which helped me remember them better. One thing that made a big difference for me was using an AI practice tool when I didn’t have anyone to speak with. Late in the evening I sometimes open something I found online that I think is really useful for learners and just try forming sentences there. It’s kind of like having a patient conversation partner who doesn’t mind if you repeat the same phrase five times. That removed a lot of pressure for me. Another tip from my experience is to read phrases out loud, even if you feel silly doing it alone in your room.
